Sarah (McKinley) Burnett

Sarah McKinley Burnett ws born on Feburary 20,1947, in Mansura, Louisiana to Isiah McKinley Sr. and Agnes Sampson McKinley. She embraced her heavenly life on October 1,2022 at her home in Rialto, California. Sarah accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura, Louisiana.

She matriculated through the Avoyelles Parish School System, and upon graduating from high school, Sarah moved to Los Angeles,CA, where she met her husband, William Burnett (Bill). Sarah and Bill remained by each others side until Bill's passing in 2017. A true servant, she began her career as a CNA and later transitioned to environmental services for the County of Los Angeles, where she served faithfully for thirty-three years. Sarah was a loving and kind person who would go above and beyond to help anyone in need.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Bill; parents Isiah Sr. and Agnes McKinley; four brothers Marshall, Isiah Jr., Michael, and Gregory McKinley; two sisters Maryann and Joann McKinley; and two nephews Martell Burns and David McKinley Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Yvonne Burnett, granddaughter Keyona Dawson; two great grandchildren Breyona Burnett and Gregory Day; three brothers Robert Sr., Donald (Sharon), and Glenn McKinley; four sisters Barbara McKinley, Linda Prevost, Shirley Jackson (Clyde), and Margaret Celestine (Stanley); one sister in law Carrie McKinley; two aunts Marie Barton (Hamilton) and Madeline Lacour; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
