Robert Johnson Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest on April 5, 2026. Born on August 10, 1965, he was the beloved son of the late Mamie (Johnson) Davis. Robert graduated from Carver Senior High School and furthered his education at Sidney Collier, where he attended Carpenter School in New Orleans, LA.
Gifted with many trades, he could build or fix almost anything. His hands were skilled, his heart was kind, and his spirit was strong. He was the cherished husband of Robin Johnson and a loving father to Sheneka Johnson, Shantrell Johnson, and Robert Johnson Jr. His grandchildren—Jordy McCory, Jace McCory, Lionel Johnson, and Kenneth McDaniel—were the joy of his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his siblings: Deborah Johnson, Sharon Johnson, Elliott Johnson, and Domingo Johnson. He is survived by Lillie Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Ronald Johnson, and Stephen Johnson, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Known as a loving man and an awesome friend, Robert spoke his mind but was easy to get along with. His presence filled the room, and his laughter warmed the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
"Those we love never truly leave us—unseen, unheard, but always in our hearts."
