Malik Kendrell Hayes was born on February 27, 2001, in Pineville, LA, to Evalis Robertson and the late Chai Lanette Hayes. At an early age, Malikaccepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Magnolia Baptist Church in Evergreen, LA, under the leadership of Pastor Frankie Ford. He attended school at Bunkie Elementary and Bunkie High School. Later in life, he relocated to Killeen, TX, where he resided until his passing.
Malik was preceded in death by his mother, Chai Hayes; one sister, Adrianne Robertson; one brother, Evalis Robertson, Jr.; and one nephew, Courvoisier K. Robertson, Jr.
Malik was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his father, Evalis Robertson of Simmesport, LA; four brothers, Evalis Hayes of Bunkie, LA, Lawrence Hayes of New Orleans, LA, Devon Wheeler of Dallas, TX, and Dominique Wallace of Simmesport, LA; three sisters, LaKhia Hayes of Bunkie, LA, and India and Emani Robertson of Dallas, TX; two grandmothers, Ida Robertson of Simmesport, LA, and Ida Dobbins of Bunkie, LA; one great-grandfather, Ernest Hawkins of Houston, TX; one niece, Za’niya Hayes; one stepmother, Asia Wheeler; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
