Keisla Jermecia Johnson-Friels was born on September 14, 1990, in Marksville, Louisiana, to Charlotte Johnson and Mark Johnson, who raised her with love, strength, and unwavering support. From a young age, Keisla displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural
ability to bring joy to everyone around her.
Her infectious laughter, gentle compassion, and gift for turning simple moments into cherished memories made her a true blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended Marksville High School, where she excelled academically and formed lifelong friendships she treasured deeply.
In 2018 Keisla met and married her husband, Donald Friels. Together they built a loving life grounded in partnership, respect, and devotion. Donald is an admirable man. a devoted hushand, and a dedicated father to their beautifil children. Their bond was one of commitnent and deep affection, and he stood proudly by her side through every chapter of their journey together.
Dedicated, hardworking, and guided by her heart for service, Keisla pursued a career in Nursing as a CNA. Her compassion, patience, and steady presence left a profound impact on her colleagues and all those she cared for. She took great pride in her work and always strived to make a meaningful difference.
Keisla was a woman full of joy, personality, and passion, she loved shopping, spending time with her children, and creating special moments they will hold forever. She enjoyed listening to music, making people laugh and beig her natural comedic self-so hilarious that she truly missed her calling as a comedian. Gifted in countless ways, she embraced every challenge with confidence and grace.
In every love language, Keisla excelled. She displayed exemplary skill in caring for others, showing compassion in ways that were both intentional and unimaginable. She served with a heart full of purpose, used her words with elegance and grace, and carried a genuine gentleness that made everyone feel safe, seen, and valued. This same tenderness and dedication were reflected in her work at Pincerest Support and Service Center, where she was deeply devoted to her clients. She gave them not just care, but dignity, respect, and love-treating each person as if they were her own family.
A true overachiever in every aspect of her life, Keisla devoted herself to being a shining example for her children. She took immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrating every milestone with joy. She was especially proud when her eldest daughter completed high school at such an early age, a moment she spoke about often. She loved sharing their achievements, activities, and school awards, knowing each success reflected the love, strength, and dedication she instilled in them.
Keisla was that QUEEN! With a heart of pure gold, she was built JOHNSON tough-strong, resilient, and unbreakable in spirit. She was a true
shero to many. Despite the weiaht she carried. she never let her pain show Instead. she rose aboue every obstacle with grace. courage. and-an unshakeable determination. Her affectionate spirit overwhelned us all. Her smile captured our hearts, and her love showed up instantly-often in the very moments we didn't even realize we needed it. She loved deeply, gave freely, and stood firmly for those she cared about. Her presence was strength, her laughter was healing, and her love was a refuge.
Above all, Keisla was devoted to her family. She cherished her role as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend. Her love knew no limits, and she carried every relationship close to her heart.
Keisla leaves to cherish her memory her true love and devoted husband Donald Lee Friels and her five beautiful children:
Treionna Briel Johnson, Keionna Nariel Clark, Ke Treivonna Danielle Johnson, Markus Anthony-Keethan Johnson, and Markese Shamar Johnson.
She is survived by her loving parents, Charlotte Marie Johnson and Mark Johnson; her grandmother, Margaret Jolson; and her siblings:
Trakelia & Ronnie Johnson-Lair, and their children Graylyn Jr and Ronnie Jr.:
William & Alexis Johnson, and their children Ky Rhionna, Kymond, William Jr, Kayden Jenkins & more:
Jaron & Whitey Johnson, and their children Logan, Jaron Jr, and Leo Deonjarae Lashae Johnson
She also leaves behind her beloved best friend, Vivian Johnson, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Keisla was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Edward Johnson; her paternal grandfather, Calvin Johnson; her paternal grandmother, Lavinia Johnson; and her beloved nephew, Graylyn Jr.
her legacy is one of strength, love, laughter, and unwavering light—a legacy of a QUEEN that will continue to shine through her children, her family and every life she touched.
