Julia Althea Corner was born November 12, 1985 to Ernest Gerald Corner and Loretta Corner at Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA.
Julia accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and remained a faithful member until she located to Baton Rouge, LA, where she joined Bethany Church. Then she moved to Garland, TX and was currently attending North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church in Plano, TX.
Julia graduated from Woodlawn High School in 2003. She also attended LSU in Baton Rouge. She worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield of LA for many years. She was currently working for Geico as an insurance adjuster.
Julia was fun, loving and outgoing, who loved her family and friends very much. She was always willing to listen and help others. She found great joy in encouraging others. Julia also loved to draw, paint and complete DIY projects. She enjoyed singing, acting classes, vocal coaching and modeling.
Julia leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Loretta Corner of Baton Rouge, LA; her father, Ernest Gerald Corner and bonus mom, Joyce Denise Corner; her 3 sisters, Casey Corner Odo (John), Kailey J. Corner of Baton Rouge, LA and Brittany Prier of Mansura, LA; her grandmother, Jeraline H. Corner of Evergreen, LA; her godmother, Brenda (Gayle) Richardson; four aunts, Caroline Armstrong of Bunkie, LA, Mary Jones and Gladys Jackson, both of Cottonport, LA and Rhonda Laws of Evergreen, LA; three uncles, Alber Corner, Jr. (Yvette) of Kansas City, MO, Otis Corner of Evergreen, LA and Stephen Corner of Port Arthur, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Julia is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Albert Corner, Sr.; her maternal grandmother, Lillian Sampson; two uncles, Wayne Antoine and Anthony Carl Corner, Sr.
