Jimmie Wells was born July 23, 1934, in Cottonport Louisiana to the late Jimmie Wells and the late Carrie Plummer. Jimmie was joined in marriage to Alice Eldridge Wells and were blessed with 65 years of marriage. In this union God blessed them with eight children. Jimmie was touched by an angel to come and he departed his life at home in Cottonport on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, one unborn child, one son: Billy Wells; three brothers; Oscar Wells, Curley Wells. and Costella Wells; one sister; Cardy Mae Wells.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories his lovely wife Alice Wells, of Cottonport La, Four daughter; Betty (Rashad) Qaasim of Mansura La; Janice (Anthony) McGrew of San Antonio, Tx, Debra Wells of Cottonport, La, and Betty Dupas of Cottonport La.; four sons: Larry Wells, Leroy (Shanteria) Wells, Allen Wells and Tonnie (Audrey) Wells of Cottonport La.; Tow sisters Eddie Lee Heggar of Cottonport, La., and Joyce Melancon of New Orleans La.; twenty-five grandchildren and fifty-four great grandchildren, tow great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
