Jaslynn Janae Jones

An Angel Among Us 

On May 22, 2023 Jaslynn Janae Jones age 10 of Carencro Louisiana passed away but left beautiful memories for those that loved her to cherish.   

Born March 20, 2013 in Alexandria Louisiana, Jaslynn immediately brought overwhelming joy to her devoted parents Kelly Hollis and Joel Jones.  Her kind and compassionate spirit was evident early on in her life as she shared a smile with everyone that she met.  Although her time spent here on earth was short, her accomplishments were not.      

Jaslynn attended Carencro Heights Elementary School, where she was an outstanding student that participated in school activities and excelled academically, as an A/B honor roll student.  At the time of her passing Jaslynn was the proud winner of a 4H award as well as an award for being an avid reader, having read more than a million words.    

Jaslynn was a loving child that enjoyed spending time with her family, eating crab legs, swimming, skating and was preparing to add soccer to her list of activities.  She will forever live in the hearts of all that knew her.  

Jaslynn is preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandfather Joseph Green and paternal great grandparents Silas and Nell Green.  Left to mourn her passing are her parents Kelly Hollis and Joel Jones, her maternal grandmother Jennifer Bazile (Michael Sr.), paternal grandmother Tracey Jones, paternal great grandmother Helen Jones, Aunts Crystal and Katerina Jones, Nakyia Hollis, Uncles Joey Richard, Marcus Jones-Green, Travis Hollis, Clifford Hollis, godfather Brice Hollis and a host of cousins and friends.
