Houston Jurell Jr., born January 6, 1970, to the late Houston Jurell Sr. and Eliza Gorrell Jurell, passed away on October 24, 2025. During his life Mr. Houston attended and graduated from Bunkie High School in 1986 and later married the love of his life Linda Friels. Prior to his illness, Houston worked as a long-haul truck driver (he was known as Top Dog as his CB handle), auto mechanic, and in construction, earning a reputation as a jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and cooking. He is survived by his wife Linda Friels; daughters Shanique Walters (Kenny), Nekia Brusie (Micheal), and Dacia Edwards(Veron); sons Ray’on Jurell, Houston Jurell III, and Braylon Jurell; sisters Sharon and Brenda Jurell; nephew Malcolm Jurell; two brother n laws George Friels (Monifa) and Bruce Friels and 16 grandchildren. HoustonJurell will be missed by all who knew him.
