On September 2, 1930, the late Abraham and Lucille Bonton Jacobs welcomed a baby girl, Helen Jacobs Jones in Goudeau, Louisiana. Also, she attended school in Goudeau, Louisiana. Helen began her walk with Christ at an early age and walked hand and hand with Christ until he called her home on May 18, 2022.
Mrs. Jones was united in holy matrimony to the late Clifton Albert Jones in 1949. To this union, 10 children were born.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Abraham and Lucille Bonton Jacobs, her husband, Clifton Albert Jones, one sister, Annie Dee Jacobs, five brothers, Polite (Jack) Jacobs, Hilton Jacobs, Marion (Adolph) Jacobs, Melvin Jacobs, and Elbert Jacobs, Sr., two brother-in-law, Courtney (Mercedes) Jones, Vernon Jones, one sister-in-law, Ethel Fields, one son, Jackie Lee Jones, and four daughters, Lola Jones, Elnora Lavalais, Gloria Thornton, and Hazel Simon.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two brother, Harold (Betty) Jacobs, Leslie Jacobs, two sisters, Betty Comeaux, Jessie Paul, three sons, Morgan Jones, Richard (Nora) Jones, and William (Marilyn) Jones, two daughters, Roshetta (Michael) Fluellen, Pansy (Gary) Washington, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Helen was famous for her sweet potato pies, tea cakes, gumbo, and other delicious meals. She enjoyed drinking coffee, watching tv (westerns, shows, and movies). Also, she enjoyed listening to country and gospel music
