To know Gladys was to respect her. Aunt Dee Dee, as she was affectionately called, found great pleasure in her nieces and nephews and other children. She often rewarded them with allowances, outings, money and praise for their good behavior and grades. As the oldest grandchild, she was often called upon for advice by everyone. Gladys' passion was collecting Black art and she was an avid googler.
