Elster J. Lavallais, Jr. aka "Dude" was born September 13, 1946 to the late Elster and Narcille Williams Lavallais. He trasitioned from this earthly life on July 2, 2021 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, Louisiana.
Elster worked all his life as a construction worker/machine operator. He was baptized by Reverend Benton Lavallais at Progressive Baptist Church. He later joined St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lawrence Porterie. He became a deacon while under this leadership. He loved servicing the Lord and praying. After a few years, he decided to return back to his home church, Progressive Baptist Church which is now under the leadership of Reverend Gary Ford. He was later ordained as a deacon and served faithfully intil falling prey to health complications,
He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy, his wife, Bernadine Lavallais of 55 years; three sons, Oliver Lavallais and Kenneth Lavallais of Marksville, Louisiana, and Romero Lavallais (Geraldine) of Accokeek, MD; three daughters, Pamela Morris (Carlos) if Bunkie La, Erica Barton (Patrick) and Georgiana Lavallais of Mansura LA; two brothers, Cleveland Lavallais Sr, (Lois) and Lionel Lavallais of Marksville, LA; five sisters, Rose Hilt, Geraldine Lavallais and Diana Lonzo (Wilson) of Marksville, LA, Dorothy Guillory of Houston TX, and Patricia Lavallais of Pineville LA; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three godchildren, Cleveland Lavallais, Jr., Fredric Brown, and Shaquila Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry Lavallais, Sr. and one sister, Ruth Lavallais.
