Effie Mae (Granny) Ford, 86, of Marksville, LA, transitioned from this life peacefully, on December 10,2022 at Rivière de Soleil Community Care Center. Effie was born to Willie and Viola Francis Davis, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Ford Sr., one daughter at birth, Maxine Ford Ariza (June 2017), and McKinley Ford Jr. (October 1995). She accepted Christ at an early age. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Viola Ford Brown (Roger) of Marksville, LA., Catherine Snyder- Kyles of Alexandria, LA., and one son Albert Lee Davis Sr., of Hessmer, LA., twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. She was the last of her siblings. She loved going to worship, Sunday school, and bible study. She was also a member of Christian Women Connection, where she participated in a fashion show and she stole the show! She was an excellent mother and cook. She enjoyed eating, fishing, telling jokes, shopping, dancing, collecting stamps and antique coins, and traveling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She also showed love for her fellowman.
