Collins Howard Johnson, also know as “KaEe” his Indian name. It was traditional to name your child after the first thing you see after birth. His mother saw clabbered milk because they were making butter. Collins lifted up his eyes in Heaven and God welcomed home his angel on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was born on February 26, 1944 to the union of Harriett Tatman and Ashton Johnson “Tinanche” his Indian name. Collins was a faithful and devoted member of his church that he carried in his heart and wore on his sleeve. He did many volunteer works in the community. Collins Howard Johnson worked for the Hook Mill/Wood Mill. He worked for the Sugar Mill, Bunkie, LA. He was joined in holy matrimony to Cecelia Debine on May 1, 1975. To this union his three sons, Robert Lee Johnson, James Lee Johnson and Henry Allen Johnson and one daughter, Linda Marie Johnson were born; four grandchildren, Derek Anthony Alexander of San Antonio, TX, Matthew Leary, Jr., Jamaurion Johnson and Giselle Leary all of Bunkie, LA and four great grandchildren, Jazziyah Alexander, Derek Alexander, Jr. and Mel, all of San Antonio, TX and Marcus Mix of Lecompte, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
Collins was preceded in death by his father, Ashton Tinache Johnson; his mother, Harriett Tatman; his grandmother, Ella Jackson; his aunt and uncle, John Tatman and Elnora Tatman Rhines; his two sons, Henry Allen Johnson and Robert Lee Johnson; his wife, Cecelia Debine Johnson; his brothers, Eddie Johnson, Sonny Johnson , Edgar Johnson, Clarence Johnson and Arthur Johnson; his sisters, Bernice Frank Johnson, Mary Williams Vallien, Essie Mae Williams and Lee Etta Louise; his nephew, Kenny and Nicee Chubby and James Johnson of Sacramento, CA.
