We Remember…
Allen AP Desselles
On November 19, 1984, a baby boy was born to Allen and Wanda Desselles in Alexandria, Louisiana and they named him, Allen Preston Desselles, after her paternal uncle.
As a child, Allen Preston attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and graduated from Marksville High School as a member of the class of 2002.
Allen Preston, or “AP” as he was better known, fit the definition of “a country boy.” He grew up helping take care of the pastures, cows, horses, pigs, chickens and whatever other livestock came under his watch. He loved to ride his horses, 4-wheelers, side by sides, and zydeco until the sun came up! He is a Founder of LA 1 Rider trail riding group and a Founder of Zydeco Bike Fest.
Allen always had a love for cars and helping people. This led him to his career as a car salesman. He is known as “Da Goat,” “Mr.Vaughn Value himself'' and “The Best that ever did it” when it comes to selling vehicles. If you wanted it, he was getting it done. AP’s heart of gold allowed him to help people all over the state drive reliable vehicles and know care and love was put into getting them there. He has been named “Salesman of the Year” more times than we can count!
When it came to his family, there was no question that he was loved! Allen Preston loved deeply, wholeheartedly, and unconditionally. He shielded his family and friends with protection, provided them with advice to live life to their fullest, uplifted them when when they were down and moved mountains to make sure they always had everything they wanted.
On Monday, November 28, 2022, our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend left this temporary life and went on to live with our Heavenly Father and his family and friends that had been waiting on him.
