Alice Marie (Eldridge) Wells

Alice was touched by an angel and called to heaven on Thursday, January 14, 2021.  She was born on December 20, 1933.

Alice leaves to cherish her memories: Three daughters: Betty (Rashad) Qaasim of Mansura, LA., Janice (Anthony) McGrew of San Antonio, TX, Debra Wells of Cottonport, LA.;  Four sons:  Larry Wells, Leroy (Shanteria) Wells, Allen Wells and Tonnie (Audrey) Wells all of Cottonport, LA.; Three sisters:  Annie Bell Eldridge, Snobia Heggar and Dorothy Hernandez all of Cottonport, LA. and one brother: Donald Ray Matthews of California; Twenty-five grandchildren and fifty-five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of  nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 Mrs. Alice Wells just loved people and always was kind to everyone!

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Wells, two sons, Murray and Billy Ray Wells.  Parents, Leon and Annie Eldridge; 3 sisters, Willie Mae Jones, Pearl Smith, and Mary Washington. One brother, Leon Eldridge Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Edwards Funeral Home in Bunkie, LA from 9:00-11:00 a.m. funeral services immediately following.
